About The Position

The Product Receiver is responsible for receiving all deliveries for the restaurant, verifying orders against invoices, inspecting product quality, and ensuring proper storage according to safety and inventory standards. This role helps maintain accurate inventory levels and ensures the kitchen and bar have the products needed for daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries from vendors.
  • Verify quantity, quality, and pricing against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Check food products for freshness, proper temperature, and damage.
  • Ensure all perishable items meet food safety and health department standards.
  • Label and date products according to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  • Organize and store products in the appropriate areas (dry storage, refrigerator, freezer, bar storage).
  • Maintain clean, organized receiving and storage areas.
  • Communicate shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies to management immediately.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for proper product placement.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly inventory counts.
  • Track deliveries and maintain receiving logs.
  • Ensure all items are properly secured and accounted for.
