The receiver's main role is to take in all food beverage & supply products and to stock them in their appropriate location The receivers responsibilities may include: handling and storing of food and supplies, food preparation and controlling food waste & cost, maintaining a clean and safe galley, maintaining all equipment and supplies. Satisfactory job performance will be monitored by galley supervisors, sous chef, or chef. Good candidates will be chosen to take on and learn new skills as deemed qualified.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak and read
  • Must have ability to log on and use computer as well as Microsoft
  • Some kitchen experience
  • Physical requirements- lifting & transporting heavy objects; climbing stairs, keep on feet for 8 hours a day, some activity in extreme.

Nice To Haves

  • Food Handlers Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, handle and store all food and This includes temperature control and documentation on frozen and refrigerated product, rotating perishable product, labeling & dating specific items, and maintaining zoning as require
  • Confirm deliveries are complete and are invoiced This includes returning unacceptable or incorrect product and communicating to the Food and Beverage Director when an order is inaccurate or not received in full
  • Control food waste and maintain low food
  • Keep a clean, safe and sanitary galley, including all equipment and This may include, but not limited, to daily general cleaning as well as weekly and monthly deep cleaning.
