About The Position

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
Reports to the Fitness/Wellness Manager or Supervisor on duty. Responsibilities include all assigned duties pertaining to the Fitness/Wellness area. Any duties assigned by the manager on duty.

Requirements

• A minimum of an 8th education is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in fitness related work is preferred
• Required having full use of auditory and visual capacities, of which include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance for extended periods of time, and have full use of hands to fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Be able to continually lift 50lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the daily supervision of patrons within the Facility ensuring their safety by enforcing facility rules and regulations.
• Ensures all patrons follow rules specific to the fitness/wellness room.
• Launders, stores, and stocks all cleaning supplies for wellness room.
• Cleans and maintains all fitness and cardio equipment daily.
• Cleans and maintains all non-fitness equipment in the wellness area (windows, mirrors, floors, etc)
• Responsible for all member and non-member fitness orientations.
• May include equipment maintenance, facility tours, cleaning, rule enforcement, or other duties directly assigned by supervisor.
• Responds to citizen complaints or inquiries regarding facility operations and programs.
