The Rebuild Specialist is responsible for developing & executing a strategic growth plan focused on machine and component rebuilds across both Construction Industries (CI) and Resource Industries (RI). This role requires strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills, as it serves as a key liaison between leadership, customers, and internal rebuild operations. The Specialist will manage the full rebuild workflow from forecasting, scheduling, communication, and operational oversight while maintaining an accurate database of rebuild options for sales teams to leverage. Ensuring rebuilds are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards is central to this position. Pay Rate: $66,697.52 - $91,768.39 Annually Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ Years in account management experience, OEM experience preferred.
  • 5+ years practical experience in related field, Caterpillar experience preferred.
  • 3+ years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3+ years customer service experience
  • 3+ years sales experience
  • 3+ years technical/mechanical experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of DBS & CRM/Sales Link
  • Intermediate knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW

Responsibilities

  • Operational Planning and Execution Forecast, schedule and track rebuilds across all branch locations.
  • Coordinate with parts and service operations to establish accurate timelines for internal and external communication.
  • Lead weekly internal rebuild operational meetings to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Analyze sales performance (parts and labor sales) using analytic dashboards to monitor progress and identify opportunities
  • Support development of marketing materials (digital, print, events) in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Program Management & Sales Support Ensure Caterpillar rebuild programs and strategy enhancements are correctly applied and utilized.
  • Verify accurate entry of EPP (Warranty) and rebuild registration information to support warranty management.
  • Work with PSSR team to quote rebuilds in PSQ and drive standardization across product support sales teams in CO, NM & West Texas.
  • Package quotes for delivery to customers to maximize win rates.
  • Manage quote database/templates with options for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Understanding of the competitive machine offerings, including new vs. rebuild pricing options
  • Maintain expertise across the entire Caterpillar machine product line (wheel and track-type).
  • Communication Provide frequent updates to internal and external customers throughout the rebuild process to enhance satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly to customer and PSSR inquiries.
  • Support after-action reviews following rebuild completion to capture lessons learned and improve future performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate mechanical aptitude.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
