Transportation Services Representative 1 – Real ID Specialist (Limited Duration) Oregon Department of Transportation Driver and Motor Vehicles Division (DMV) Field Services Group / Central Region Bend The role: Bring your customer service skills to the Bend DMV as a Real ID Specialist. In this role, you will assist the public with obtaining Real ID compliant identification cards, answering questions related to Real ID and providing customer service for Oregonian’s looking to obtain documents that comply with the Real ID Act. This is a limited duration appointment that is expected to end on or before June 30, 2027. Limited duration appointments are benefits eligible and have a designated maximum length of service. A day in the life: Help the public with obtaining Real ID license, instruction permit or identification cards. Serve as a primary representative in the office for Real ID transactions. Accurately produce photo licenses, instruction permits and identification cards. Administer, correct and explain driver license knowledge test. Conduct vision tests. Explain state and federal requirements for different driver and identification transactions. Provide exceptional customer service while following privacy laws. Communicate clearly with customers from diverse backgrounds to accurately answer complex questions. Collaborate with office leaders and managers to ensure efficient operations related to issuing Real ID. Examine documents for eligibility prior to issuing credentials. Prepare daily reports and balance transactions at the end of each day. Travel to other offices in the region to perform relief work. Work is performed in a DMV office setting with extensive face to face interaction with the public. Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute with a high level of accuracy. A typing assessment will be conducted at the time of interview for selected candidates.
