About KYTC Division of Driver Licensing The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is a very diverse state agency that directly touches the lives of citizens and travelers every day. KYTC services are at work in all 120 counties and 12 highway district offices from highways, roads, bridges, vehicle licensing, driver licensing, and highway safety. KYTC works closely with officials at every level to deliver products and services to its citizens, businesses, and government agencies, continuously working towards improvement. The Division of Driver Licensing (DDL) within KYTC is responsible for the issuance of driver’s licenses, maintaining driver’s records, and managing driver safety programs. Kentucky’s DDL works closely with other state agencies, other states, and federal government agencies. These locations will include manufacturing centers, libraries, prisons and other local areas in need of Driver’s License services. Overnight stay may be needed based on the needs of the agency. The candidate will not be expected to utilize their own vehicle. Other duties as assigned. Position Overview: The focus of this project will be to learn the new digitized driver license issuance requirements and DDL state and federal rules which include REAL ID, Commercial Driver License, and National Driver Register.
