About The Position

Real Estate Project Management Intern Are you interested in learning more about affordable housing development? Self-Help Credit Unions provide banking services such as checking and savings accounts. We also have a portfolio of affordable residential housing units and various commercial properties for small businesses. Under the direction of the Real Estate Senior Project Manager, the Real Estate Project Management Intern will assist in the evaluation and feasibility analysis of potential affordable housing sites and support predevelopment work on in-process projects. What You’ll Do: Support the creation of financial models to assess the feasibility of sites Participate in site analysis projects to determine if a site is better suited for small-unit development, larger-scale public subsidies or other low-income tax credits Participate in site visits to assess property conditions Cottage court zoning research, in select rural communities within the Self-Help Credit Union footprint

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduates welcome to apply
  • Demonstrate a sincere interest in community development, non-profit work, education, advocacy, or affordable housing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • An enthusiasm for learning
  • Strong attention to detail
