About The Position

University Degree (equivalent to a U.S. Bachelors' degree in real estate, finance, construction or related field). Advanced degree a plus.8-10 years of corporate/commercial real estate experience with diversified corporate portfolio(s) performing transaction/project/program management. Minimum 5 years full-scope project management experience. Extensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices relating to real estate transactions. Knowledge of contract law, commercial real estate, corporate real estate leasing and tenant construction. Commercial/industrial real estate negotiation experience (leases, amendments, contracts, etc.). Solid track record of reducing company expenses and managing corporate real estate projects. Responsibilities

  • Work with designated service provider(s) to develop and deliver an integrated transaction management solution/process with supporting tools, templates, etc.
  • Develop accurate and informative project tracking reports for use on all real estate transactions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of real estate transaction process and procedures.
  • Routinely audit and improve functions processes, procedures and support tools.
  • Responsible for coordinating information, due diligence, analysis, resources and other activities necessary to successfully complete real estate projects within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Works with third party service provider(s), UL legal, UL risk management and other internal stakeholders to develop standard process documents, including but not limited to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), lease clauses, letters of intent, etc.
  • Provide continuous guidance, training and support to internal transaction/project management personnel on best practices, processes and procedures. Works closely with UL lease administration, project management, facility management, and finance/accounting teams to ensure integration between the service lines.
  • Coordinate work with appropriate real estate and facilities department team members and other internal service groups (e.g. IT, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, HR, etc.) to ensure that projects conform to corporate initiatives and standards.
  • Assist internal clients with the development of facility and capital project planning and to identify project requirements.
  • Assist with M&A real estate due diligence as required.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
