GENERAL FUNCTION: The Real Estate Manager III (REM III) manages corporate real estate activities within assigned territories, including but not limited to the following: acquisitions, dispositions, leases, sale-leaseback transactions, ground lease contracts, and third-party tenant contract negotiations. The REM III is engaged in all corporate real estate activities within their area of responsibility and provides support during and after contract negotiations, as requested. The REM III is responsible and accountable for risk management by openly exchanging ideas, elevating concerns, and consistently adhering to company policies and procedures. This role ensures the customer—internal or external—remains central to all decisions and actions, while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite. REM IIIs are expected to have expert knowledge of their market and as such are required to live in their assigned territories. They must also have an expert knowledge of real estate transactions, knowledge of real estate legal terms, and will need limited oversite to fulfill their job requirements. REM IIIs interpret and analyze legal contracts and due‑diligence reports, and build cross‑functional coalitions that drive results aligned with broader corporate strategies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or real estate; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant real estate or corporate transaction experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Real Estate Mapping and other Real Estate Related software
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to build coalitions across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regional and site-specific analysis, feasibility studies, and contract negotiations for corporate real estate properties.
  • Manage all aspects of real estate transactions—including acquisitions, dispositions, and ongoing negotiations, working with partners such as Legal, Retail, Relationship Managers, and Lines of Business—for assigned properties.
  • Interpret and analyze legal contracts and due diligence reports, and build coalitions that drive results that align with broader corporate strategies.
  • Support zoning, signage, and code variance requests, including meetings with local and state officials and participation in public hearings, as requested.
  • Lead all phases of negotiations with internal and external parties, government agencies, developers/landlords, and others as necessary.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned and approved by the Director of Corporate Real Estate Transactions or the Managing Director of EWS.
  • Provide timely, candid, and constructive-performance feedback and develop employees to achieve their full potential.
