About The Position

The Nashville office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Real Estate Practice. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills and three (3) to fifteen (15) years of experience in real estate transactions and litigation. Familiarity with purchase and sale, entitlements, and government agencies is a plus. Lewis Brisbois' Real Estate Practice is comprised of attorneys located throughout our offices nationwide. The firm represents a broad array of clients, including developers, public agencies, as well as national, regional, and local retailers and restaurant groups. Responsibilities will include legal research and writing, both in the transactional and litigation contexts, knowledge of how to work with public agency rules and regulations, drafting of agreements with agencies on behalf of developers, and the ability to work with staff members of various agencies. General knowledge of land planning, environmental and engineering issues impacting land development is also needed. The work will include attending public hearings both during the days and evenings. A background in government relations is a plus. All candidates must possess Tennessee Bar membership, solid academic credentials and organizational skills.
