About The Position

The Temecula, CA office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Real Estate Practice.The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills and two (2) to seven (7) years of experience in real estate transactional and litigation. Familiarity with purchase and sale, entitlements, and government agencies.Lewis Brisbois' Real Estate Practice is comprised of attorneys located throughout our offices nationwide. In Southern California the firm represents a broad array of clients, including developers, public agencies, as well as national, regional, and local retailers and restaurant groups.Responsibilities will include legal research and writing, both in the transactional and litigation contexts, knowledge of how to work with public agency rules and regulations, drafting of agreements with agencies for developers, a working knowledge of the Brown Act, the Public Records Act, the Subdivision Map Act, CEQA/NEPA, and the ability to work with staff members of various agencies. General knowledge of land planning, environmental and engineering issues impacting land development is also needed. The work will include attending public hearings both during the days and evenings. A background in government relations is a plus.
