The Real Estate Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting branch originators by analyzing complex commercial mortgage deals, preparing detailed loan submissions, and facilitating the underwriting process. This position involves direct interaction with borrowers, conducting market research, and assisting in the marketing of our products and services to potential clients, ensuring a seamless and efficient loan process. We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will: · Review and analyze the current and historical income and expense of a property together with all additional and relevant information, and to determine the terms and conditions of the loan. · Prepare a formal loan submission for lenders which include writing a narrative report recommending, justifying and describing not only the loan request but also the relevant and supporting information. · Answer questions from lenders generated by the submission and research, analyze and provide additional information on request. · Bids are solicited from companies and proposals approved for the provision of the Appraisal, Engineering and Phase I Environmental Reports. · Formal lender submissions for Loan Commitment purposes for Life Insurance Company lenders and for Early Rate Lock for Freddie Mac loans, are generated. The submissions are very detailed and address specific lender requirements. Land and building values together with market rental rates for the property are determined based on an in-depth analysis of buildings and rents comparable to the subject. · Review submissions to other lenders generated by in-house closing/processing staff. · Draft copies of the Appraisal, Engineering and Phase I Reports are reviewed, and changes are negotiated, if required. Order, review, approve and submit Credit Reports on various companies, i.e. borrowers and tenants. · Assist Loan Processors in Pipeline entry. · Compile market research data and maintain database of information. · Interact with the borrower throughout the underwriting process. · Assist branch originators in their marketing of company products and services. · Review and analyze current and historical income and expenses of a property and determine the terms and conditions of the loan. · Perform financial cash flow, cost report analysis. · Prepare loan submission packages for lender review. Order and review 3rd party reports, including appraisals, environmental inspections (if necessary), property condition inspections and seismic reports (if necessary) for loans under application. · Correspond directly with mortgage bankers, borrowers and clients. · Complete property inspections. · Assist in the closings of loans. · Order, review, approve and submit Credit reports on various companies, i.e. borrowers and tenants.
