About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Ready Mix Concrete Plant Manager to lead operations at our Brookville Ready Mix Plant. This role provides hands-on leadership of all plant functions, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. The ideal candidate is a driven and adaptable leader who can assess plant needs, take initiative, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality concrete production while fostering a strong team culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5+ years of experience in ready mix operations, concrete production, or construction materials, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of concrete production, batching systems, and quality control processes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a self-driven mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with batching software preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, skid steers); additional equipment experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL A or B is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Project coordination or operational planning experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of daily plant operations, including batching, production, maintenance, and delivery logistics
  • Ensure safe, timely, and accurate production of ready mix concrete in accordance with company standards and the Operational Excellence Model in Concrete Scheduling
  • Operate and oversee batching systems, loaders, and other plant equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain plant equipment through routine inspections and preventative maintenance using the Whip Around app to minimize downtime
  • Perform or oversee quality control testing (slump, air, temperature) and ensure compliance with ASTM and ACI standards, including cylinder casting and air checks
  • Maintain accurate batching records, production data, and consistent mix designs
  • Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate timely replenishment with appropriate personnel
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable plant staff and drivers while reinforcing company Mission, Vision, and Values (ORANGE)
  • Communicate daily responsibilities and expectations to drivers and plant personnel
  • Collaborate with sales and customers to ensure efficient scheduling, delivery, and service quality
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance plant performance, efficiency, and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and standards
