About The Position

Reading Interventionist (K–6) We are seeking a dedicated Reading Interventionist with a strong foundation in phonics and early literacy to support student success across Kindergarten through 6th grade. This role is critical in providing targeted instruction and ensuring all students make measurable progress in reading. Key Responsibilities: Deliver explicit, systematic phonics instruction aligned to research-based practices K-2. Deliver explicit instruction in reading comprehension in preparation for STAAR for 3rd - 6th. Provide small group instruction based on student needs within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) Design and implement engaging, differentiated activities that address gaps in reading skills Progress monitor students regularly and adjust instruction based on data Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention outcomes Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 instruction Participate in data meetings and contribute to instructional planning using assessment results MTSS & Reading Focus: Utilize MTSS frameworks to identify, support, and monitor struggling readers Implement targeted interventions with fidelity at each tier level Analyze screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring data to drive instructional decisions Ensure interventions are aligned with the science of reading, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension Qualifications: Texas Teacher Certification Strong knowledge of phonics and foundational reading skills Experience working with elementary students (K–6) Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction Strong organizational and communication skills Experience with intervention programs and progress monitoring tools preferred Texas Reading Academy Completion Why Join Us: Small group focuses with meaningful impact on student growth and closing gaps Collaborative team environment committed to student success Opportunity to strengthen reading outcomes across all grade levels

Requirements

  • Texas Teacher Certification
  • Strong knowledge of phonics and foundational reading skills
  • Experience working with elementary students (K–6)
  • Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Texas Reading Academy Completion
