About The Position

The Material Handler, Raw Materials is responsible for unloading and verifying inbound freight, while maintaining safety standards. This position uses a forklift to move raw materials for the majority of each shift.

Requirements

Ability to become certified in forklift operation
Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Move raw materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using a forklift
Organize and maintain overall appearance of the loading dock including raw materials, packages and pallets to ensure timely, accurate and careful delivery
Drive a forklift for a significant portion of shift
Follow proper maintenance procedures for the forklift
Maintain and report inventory needs
Maintain documentation of inventory, shipping records, receiving inventory and receiving shipping records
Keep work area clean and orderly
Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Raw Materials Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Additional duties as assigned by management
