As a Raw Ingredient Associate at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your day begins promptly at 2:00 PM and concludes at 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, and storing raw ingredients while ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols. You’ll work closely with your team to troubleshoot any issues that arise and maintain an an organized workplace. Daily tasks may involve operating machinery, conducting inventory checks, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals. Expect to engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture that fosters innovation and customer-centricity. Your role is crucial in setting the stage for high-quality pet food production, making every day an opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive team.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in attention to detail and organization
  • Observant for inspecting raw materials and ensuring they meet quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Chip frozen meat blocks apart
  • Run Meat Blocks through meat processing equipment
  • Mix ingredients together
  • Add oils as needed per customer specifications
  • Clean Meat Room equipment throughout shift and at the end of runs to ensure sanitation of equipment is up to standards
  • Work with a team to ensure product is safely processed in a timely manner
  • Use forklift to unload shipments into freezer and stage product for processing when needed
