The Rare Disease organization leads all US Commercial efforts for Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease portfolio. The Rare Disease portfolio includes medical treatments, customer solutions, and devices across multiple Therapy Areas including Rare Bleeding Disorders, Rare Endocrine Disorders, Rare Renal Disorders, and Hemoglobinopathies (Sickle Cell Disease & Beta Thalassemia), as well as new products in the pipeline. The Rare Disease organization is responsible for leading the enterprise approach to achieving our patient care goals and financial objectives, devising and delivering transformative patient and customer experiences, addressing unmet needs across the communities we serve, and setting the industry standard for extraordinary execution. The team members collaborate and partner cross functionally with multiple functions and groups throughout the US organization, Clinical Development, Research & Early Development, other affiliates, and the Global HQ teams. The Position The Rare Bleeding Community Liaison Leader is an influential first-line people manager for a team of patient-facing employees. They are responsible for effectively coaching, developing, and leading the Rare Blood Community Liaisons, within their team, to engage and educate patients and caregivers, advocacy organizations, and specialty pharmacy representatives. Their team is responsible for one-on-one engagement with patients and caregivers to educate on disease state and NNI products so that patients can engage in their own care. This is accomplished by engaging with patients and caregivers one-on-one and at community events. This role is responsible for developing and executing patient engagement strategies for Rare Bleeding Disorders community in collaboration with marketing, sales, medical, and market access. Rare Bleeding Disorders Community Liaison Leader is expected to possess a high level of clinical and customer knowledge. They should also understand and execute against headquarter protocols and possess drive and spirit to engage the Rare Bleeding Disorders community and support patients and caregivers by reducing barriers to therapy and providing education on disease, treatment and support offerings.
