Requirements

3+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches
3+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks
3+ years DoD environment
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Equivalent (Required)
At least one nationally recognized certification for senior network administrators/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solution’s routers and switches.
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III
CASP+ CE
CCNP Security
CISA
CISSP (or Associate)
GCED
GCIH
CCSP
Must possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for rapid response to network emergencies, including outages, security breaches, and critical incidents.
Conduct urgent break-fixes and respond to high-priority incidents to meet mission needs.
Collaborate effectively with the JNOSC Core Engineering Team, Service Restoral Team, Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) Team, Service Response Team, and the MAC team.
Manage network connectivity at all VIP/GO quarters within the scope of JSP's responsibility.
Implement and manage network connectivity and transport across all classification levels.
Install, maintain, and remove equipment in accordance with JSP-approved standards and architecture drawings, including encryption devices, VoIP devices, VoSIP devices, and auxiliary power equipment.
Perform life-cycle maintenance for all transport devices and supporting equipment.
Manage patching and cabling for JSP devices located in VIP/GO quarters.
Prepare a Monthly Report detailing all work performed by the Rapid Response Team.
Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure that the network can meet the needs of the organization.
Apply current and emerging network design principles and protocols to design, implement, and maintain enterprise networks.
Extensive experience in network engineering and administration, particularly in urgent incident response and crisis management scenarios.
Strong understanding of network connectivity, transport, and infrastructure management across various classification levels.
Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and removing network equipment according to industry standards and architecture drawings.
