Weston Hospital’s Adult Medical Emergency Team (AMET)/Rapid Response team responds to codes and provides urgent care to patients in danger of dying. A code blue announcement means that an adult is having a medical emergency, usually cardiac or respiratory arrest, and tells you where the emergency is. Some of the methods used by this team are CPR, intubation, defibrillation, and medication. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. This position is open to a day/night rotation.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Two years of recent ICU or ED independent nursing experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross
