Engages in clinical team activities for midline and PICC line placement as appropriate. CUSTOMER SUPPORT/PATIENT EXPERIENCE Responds to patient, visitor and physician concerns Provides support during challenging interpersonal or care coordination situations and escalates concerns appropriately Offers communication support to patients and families during difficult situations and engages appropriate leadership when escalation is needed PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY Continuing professional education and growth through formal and informal means Seeking learning opportunities for professional growth and role enhancement Continues to develop nursing knowledge and skills, including clinical decision-making, critical thinking, and evidence based practice QUALITY IMPROVEMENT Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve those processes Incorporates evidence-based practice and research to monitor and continuously impact outcomes Provides evidence of participation in process improvement activities FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
