Minimum Qualifications A Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP -accredited program is strongly preferred. ABD will be considered, but all degree requirements must be met before the start date. A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing clinical mental health counselor. A minimum of two years of experience in CMHC education. Experience with online education. A record of professional and community service and involvement with the CMHC community via professional membership and service. Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Minnesota and state of residence. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated excellence in teaching and clinical supervision, including proficiency in residential and online instructional technologies. Experience with innovative strategies and/or simulation learning. Experience with CACREP self-studies, accreditation process, and visits. Ability to maintain a program of personal and professional development appropriate for areas of responsibility. Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and competence in the appropriate academic disciplines. Maintain familiarity with current texts, materials, teaching aids, and techniques relative to courses within the discipline and recommend their adoption when appropriate. Actively assist the School in maintaining standards required for programmatic and regional accreditation.
