About The Position

Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWCEN) operates Range Complexes across multiple geographic locations to provide safe, ready training environments for Naval Special Operations Forces, supported through comprehensive administrative, logistical, and facility services. In this role, you will further enable this mission by delivering range enterprise training support, including equipment accountability and maintenance, training coordination, scheduling, logistics, facility upkeep, and broader inventory management functions.

Requirements

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the last 10 years.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the last 10 years in facilities maintenance and management. Experience in the Navy Civil Engineering Corps (Army Corps of Engineers, and/or NAVFAC qualifies, and may contribute towards the total number of years of experience).
  • Possess valid driver's license.
  • Possess excellent work ethic.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Pay strong attention to detail and be highly accurate in performing all tasks.
  • Perform duties independently, with minimal oversight.
  • Be able to write correspondence in a military format.
  • Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity and prior work with Naval Special Warfare (Preferred).
  • Project management certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Range Department in meeting day-to-day facility requirements.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate inventory/accountability of range complex facilities real property and improvements.
  • Support the development of range facility project packages (e.g. Site Approval Requests (SARs), estimates, DD1391s, etc.) and assist with project prioritization.
  • Support the development of facility requests and documentation (e.g. routine work requests, MILCONs).
  • Monitor status of current and future facility projects; assist in the planning of future facility requirements.
  • Develop Life Cycle Management Plans (LCMPs) for facilities, equipment, and other items as appropriate.
  • Attend meetings with the Range Director, the Deputy Range Director and the Facilities Officer or representative, as required.
  • Assist with documenting / reconciling monthly requests and expenditures.
  • Assist with reviewing and developing agreements such as Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) and Inter-Service Support Agreements (ISSAs) as required.
  • Enter data into multiple locally managed databases, utilizing Microsoft Office tools, and ensure data is maintained.
  • Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data.
  • Retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customer inquiries.
  • Compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments related to the assigned programs.
  • Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures.
  • Research problems surfaced by customers; resolve issues or route to appropriate Government personnel with information setting forth research findings.
  • Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns; assemble retrieved information into different formats to meet different requirements; for example, status reports, unmet customer needs, and other similar areas.
  • Analyze the results of applying guidelines to difficult situations and recommend changes.
