The RamCorps Education & Historical Interpretation Technician position is a quarter-time national and community service opportunity focused on supporting the Rock Ledge Ranch education and interpretation programs. Members will engage with Ranch staff, volunteers, and visitors, providing an immersive and engaging educational experience while outfitted in period-appropriate attire. The role requires a minimum of 450 hours of service over a four-month term, from May 2026 to August 2026, with an approximate commitment of 35 hours per week. Service will take place at Rock Ledge Ranch (RLR), a living history landscape in western Colorado Springs, which is owned by the City of Colorado Springs and managed by the nonprofit Living History Association (LHA). The AmeriCorps member is expected to provide direct services, strengthen the community, build organizational capacity, complete administrative tasks, maintain professionalism, and participate in regular check-ins and reviews. The position offers significant training and experience in community engagement, project implementation, leadership, and working with diverse populations, with up to 20% of total hours dedicated to approved training. Supervision and support will be provided by Derek Lowstuter and Melinda Macpherson, the RamCorps Program Manager.
