About The Position

Road & Rail Services is hiring an experienced Railroad Track Foreman to lead railroad track maintenance and construction crews in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. This is a working foreman position that combines hands-on railroad track repair with crew leadership, safety oversight, and daily reporting. As a Railroad Track Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and working alongside track crews while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently under Federal Railroad Administration regulations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in the railroad industry
• Proven experience with railroad track construction and repair
• Heavy equipment experience related to railroad track work preferred
• Strong understanding of railroad safety and risk management
• Comfortable using a computer for daily job duties
• Microsoft Office experience required, with emphasis on Excel
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Leading railroad track maintenance and construction crews
• Performing hands-on railroad track repair and maintenance
• Enforcing FRA safety rules and company safety policies
• Training, mentoring, and evaluating crew members
• Operating heavy equipment and specialty railroad equipment
• Using power tools and hand tools safely
• Managing materials, tools, and jobsite inventory
• Completing daily reports, safety documentation, and work logs
• Using a computer for scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks
