Rail Crewmembers will perform diverse duties encompassing plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation. Key responsibilities include plant operations, production, quality control, loading and shipping railcars, equipment greasing and lubrication, maintaining plant housekeeping, operating various equipment, and conducting routine maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret gauges/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipment.
Proficiently communicate in English to understand and convey work instructions effectively.
Demonstrate quick learning abilities, exceptional adherence to directions, and cultivating positive work habits like punctuality, skillfulness, neatness, and dependability.
Self-starter who can work with little or no supervision and work well with teams in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
Capable of prioritizing workload efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer, and other equipment as required.
Flexibility in availability, including the ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate schedules, workload demands, and plant operations.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1 year of equipment operation and/or plant operation is preferred.
Locomotive experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Unloading and unloading of products.
Moving railcars (Track mobile and Spotters).
Operating rail switches.
Weighing railcars in and out.
Assisting with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
Operating plant-specific mobile equipment (i.e., Front-end Loader).
Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
Cross-train in all plant areas
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and procedures set forth by Federal and State agencies and Zinc Resources LLC policies.
Maintains good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
Perform other duties as requested.
