About The Position

Overview: Ensures proper receiving of high fructose corn syrup from railcars and/or tankers. Please note; About 50% of the job is outside work, spring, summer, fall, winter, rain or shine.

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform work in various shifting climates
Ability to lift, crouch, bend, reach & climb

Responsibilities

Timely unloading of high fructose corn syrup railcars and tankers to ensure on-hand inventory is always available
Check the sugar samples in to insure they are in specification
Pump the sugar to inside holding tanks and monitor sugar usage
Ensure proper food safety and quality programs are followed
Ensure safety seals are correctly applied and documented
Batching treated water, batching lime, performing various checks on the water, back washing the filtration system and monitoring the water levels.
Responsible for inspecting and maintaining all filters and pumps
Ensure all documentation and receiving logs are correct and fully completed
Steams railroad cars in winter
Responsible for cleanliness of unloading station and surrounding area
Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality and continuous improvement
Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and to ensure GMP compliance of fellow employees
