About The Position

A day in the life You start your shift in our Sacramento, CA facility by reviewing the maintenance plan you built the day before. With minimal supervision, you move from a diesel powertrain diagnostic on a piece of transportation equipment to an electrical fault on a large forklift. After verifying ramp-up, setup, and start procedures, you support an installation alongside Industrial Engineers, update technical documentation, and coach a junior teammate through a tricky hydraulic issue. By shift’s end, you’ve improved a process, logged precise records, and kept critical equipment ready for service.

Requirements

  • Vocational training (or equivalent) in a relevant technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy equipment.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and solve non-routine technical challenges.
  • Comfort in moderately complex environments with specialized equipment.
  • Experience with technical documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute assigned maintenance projects independently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site across heavy equipment and facility assets.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines on transportation equipment, large forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
  • Perform machine ramp-up, setup, and start checks to ensure readiness.
  • Partner with Industrial Engineers on equipment installations and improvements.
  • Maintain and revise equipment and process documentation.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to junior team members.
  • Deliver preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the facility.
