We are actively looking for a Rail Crossing Safety Engineer to join our Raleigh office. The Rail Crossing Safety Engineer I contributes to a variety of projects related to rail, railroad crossing safety, rail crossing signal concept layout design, and transit design projects to assist with field work and develop plans for projects across the United States. Experience working with state DOTs, freight, or transit railroads is preferred but is not required. This role helps to meet various civil engineering project requirements and will be given opportunities as a client-facing team member. This role requires the ability to work in the field, work with MicroStation design software, develop reports, occasional coordination with clients, senior management, and senior engineers to move projects through the field evaluation, development, and construction process. Work will be performed under the supervision of a Senior Rail Crossing Safety Professional Engineer on small and large scale infrastructure projects that impact rail and transit facilities.
