About The Position

Atrium Health and Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA) have formed a partnership to provide comprehensive spinal expertise, excellent outcomes, and innovative treatments. Established in 1940, Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates is a highly respected neurosurgical private practice offering a wide range of brain and spine care services, including adult and pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, physiatry, neurology, pain management, and physical therapy. They provide advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments for various brain, spine, and peripheral nerve disorders. CNSA comprises 49 physicians, 41 advanced practice providers, and over 550 employees across nine office locations, dedicated to bringing technologically advanced neurosurgical therapies to patients throughout the Carolinas. The team focuses on a spectrum of services, from non-operative options and minimally invasive outpatient surgery to complex, life-enhancing surgical procedures. The Radiology Technologist performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist, coordinating daily activities that include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
