About The Position

Established in 1940, Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates provides comprehensive brain and spine care, offering adult and pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, physiatry, and physical therapy services. They deliver advanced surgical and non‑surgical treatments for the full spectrum of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve disorders. Located in Midtown, their Charlotte office offers on‑site CT, MRI, and X‑ray services and also performs epidural steroid injections, enhancing coordinated, convenient, and comprehensive patient care. This full-time Registered Nurse position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a hybrid work option available after training and meeting performance expectations. The role involves providing clinical support through shunt reprogramming and wound assessments, including suture and staple removal, ensuring timely and accurate evaluation of patient concerns and contributing to high-quality neurosurgical care. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Current certification in BLLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Neurosurgical and wound‑care experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • Prior triage experience preferred
  • BSN preferred

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
  • Provide clinical support through shunt reprogramming and wound assessments, including the removal of sutures and staples.
  • Ensure timely, accurate evaluation of patient concerns and contribute to high‑quality neurosurgical care.
