About The Position

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Radiology Technologist to our team at our clinic in Clinton, WI. Shift: 1st Schedule: 8a-5p Hours per week: 24 Benefits Status: Benefits Eligible Department: Clinton Clinic The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic radiography services and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician. The Radiology Technologist ensures proper documentation of exam and evaluates the technical quality of the images. The Radiology Technologist: Performs diagnostic radiographic services. Greets customers in a friendly but professional manner. Ensures proper patient and film identification. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. Positions and immobilizes patients as necessary. Selects and/or calculates exposure factors according to age specific guidelines. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure. Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification. Assists with rooming patients and taking vital signs. Performs phlebotomy and labels lab specimens. Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement, etc. Performs quality control checks as required. Sometimes requires working irregular hours. Maintains accurate patient records and file with confidentiality. Assumes responsibility for assigned area ensuring the work area is neat, orderly and stocked. Demonstrates the ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software application appropriate to position. Interacts in a positive, responsible and cooperative manner with patients, physicians, co-workers and managers. JOB REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology Current AART registered and License in the State of Wisconsin. CPR Certification within 90 days of hire Maintains required CEUs. Self-motivated with a bility to be flexible. Ability to problem-solve and function independently. Institutional commitment. Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal, financial and medical information about patients and if applicable the same about co-workers. Personal protective equipment required; such as, radiation monitoring film badge, lead aprons, lead glasses, lead gloves, thyroid collars, goggles, gloves, gowns, masks, face shields and CPR mask. Requirements

Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Current AART registered and License in the State of Wisconsin.
CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
Maintains required CEUs.
