About The Position

Beloit Clinic is looking to add a Radiology Technologist to our Team! Shift: 1st & 2nd combination Schedule: 7:30 am - 8:00 pm (8-hour shifts within this window) Hours per week: 32 Benefits Status: Eligible Department: Beloit Clinic Radiology Provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. Performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Performs diagnostic radiographic services Greets customers in a friendly, but professional manner Ensures proper patient and image identification Operates diagnostic imaging equipment Position's patients Immobilizes patients as necessary Selects and/or calculates exposure factors according to age specific guidelines Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others Evaluates radiographs for technical quality Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures Assumes responsibility for portions of department QA including equipment Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement projects, etc. Sometimes requires working irregular hours Assumes responsibility for assigned area ensuring the work area is net, orderly, stocked, and maintains a safe work environment Supervises, assists, instructs, and communicates effectively with radiology students Demonstrates the ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software application appropriate to position Interacts in a positive, responsible, and cooperative manner with patients, physicians, соworkers, and managers Attends mandatory safety training sessions and adheres to Beloit Health System and OSHA safety requirements Ensures security of PHI. Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information and records, Beloit Health System financial information and business practices Maintains acceptable levels of initiative and productivity Cross trained for a minimum of a second location within the health system based upon department needs Performs phlebotomy on patients by the appropriate method, using aseptic techniques Properly identifies patients prior to phlebotomy with two means of identification Properly labels all specimens with required information at patient's side. Hand labels tubes with two identifiers if labels are not available. Initials tube label and includes specific collection time. Instructs patient on proper collection procedures Assists in aspects of patient care including transportation and PACs processing Provides input for equipment and supply decisions Detects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctions Performs clerical, scheduling, and filing functions Assumes responsibility for portions of department quality assurance and improvement program Maintains 12 ECE hours per year or 24 ECE hours every two years as required by ARRT

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology and ARRT registered.
  • Licensed in the state you work
  • CRP certified
