About The Position

This position is for a full-time Radiology Technologist at the Neurosurgery & Spine Clinic, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, located in Greensboro, NC. The role involves performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting patient history, confirming patient identification, preparing and administering contrast media, and consulting with radiologists and other physicians. The technologist will select and operate equipment, demonstrating correct anatomic positioning skills, and maintain appropriate records. The role requires knowledge of growth and development principles and skills appropriate for diverse patient populations. Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • BLS required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
