About The Position

The Radiology Technologist performs highly complex exams as part of the diagnostic team. This individual coordinates specialized equipment, calculates technical factors, radiation safety, maintenance of equipment, quality assurance and film processing, and maintains adequate inventory. This individual must be alert to potential problems with the patient or the equipment and be able to devise alternate means of accomplishing the objective if standard means fail.

Requirements

  • ARRT certified
  • Current license as required by the state
  • Certified in Fluoroscopy required
  • Maintains current CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years of radiography training in an accredited program
  • Working knowledge of all radiological equipment; able to perform highly specialized exams as part of the diagnostic team
  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 30 pounds, which includes the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements
  • Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking
  • Ability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch are required for patient care functions and in setting up and monitoring equipment
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
  • Ability to work independently without supervision

  • Experience in MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study)
