We are seeking a Limited Scope / Non‑Registered Radiology Technologist who is actively progressing toward ARRT registration and eager to develop clinical skills in a fast‑paced hospital environment. This role is designed as a temporary, developmental position with the expectation of timely advancement into a Registered Radiologic Technologist role. Important Role Expectations This position is temporary and intended to support caregivers completing clinical and registration requirements The caregiver is expected to advance to a Registered Radiologic Technologist position as soon as eligible Employees are not expected to remain in this role longer than six months after completion of clinical hours Position Summary Under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist, the Limited Scope / Non‑Registered Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures within their scope of practice. The caregiver supports high‑quality, safe imaging services while continuing professional development toward full registration. Requirements

  • Image evaluation and quality awareness
  • Imaging equipment operation

  • Emergency response awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Electronic imaging systems proficiency
  • Strong task prioritization and time‑management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
  • Currently enrolled in a JRCERT‑ or AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, with documented completion of required clinical and didactic training per state regulations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers

Responsibilities

  • Practices within the scope of state licensure and organizational policy
  • Maintains ARRT or modality‑specific competency in all assigned clinical and technical functions
  • Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation prior to imaging exams
  • Performs diagnostic exams according to department protocols and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Adheres to radiation safety principles and maintains a safe environment for patients and caregivers
  • Completes imaging studies within acceptable time frames without compromising quality or patient care
  • Provides patient education, promotes comfort, and addresses questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
  • Demonstrates understanding and demonstrates operation of imaging equipment and related information systems
  • Accurately documents patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions
  • Follows established protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control programs, and equipment issue reporting
