About The Position

This role is more than a career, it's a calling at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. The Radiology Technologist Lead is responsible for leading the daily operations of interventional imaging services. The schedule for this regular worker type position is 0600-1430 Monday-Friday, and surgery call is required. The position involves ensuring quality imaging, patient care, and workflow, monitoring patient documentation for accuracy, and overseeing quality control testing and equipment maintenance. The Lead also serves as a resource to department staff, performs orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for staff performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program
  • Two years' experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State of Work Location: Missouri, Oklahoma

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality imaging, patient care and work flow.
  • Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  • Oversess quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
  • Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching.
  • Provides input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
