About The Position

This position leads the daily operations of interventional imaging services at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. The role involves ensuring quality imaging, patient care, and workflow, monitoring patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy, and overseeing quality control testing and equipment maintenance. The Lead Technologist serves as a resource to department staff and other team members, performs staff orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations. Key responsibilities also include assisting with patient positioning, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards, and promptly submitting high-quality images and documents to PACS. The role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department and working in a constant state of alertness.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program
  • Two years' experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • For Illinois: Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Or Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
  • For Wisconsin: Radiographer, Licensed - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

Responsibilities

  • Leads the daily operations of interventional imaging services.
  • Ensures quality imaging, patient care and work flow.
  • Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  • Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
  • Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching.
  • Provides input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
