About The Position

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. Performs Radiology Tech II responsibilities with addition of one of the following: interventional, dental or OR.

Requirements

• Associates Degree Radiologic Sciences OR Trade School Certificate
• ARRT
• 1 year experience

Responsibilities

• Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory.
• Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.
• Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
