About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Assistant (PRN) provides vital support to Imaging Technologists across diagnostic modalities. You’ll help prepare patients for exams, ensure their comfort and safety, and keep patient flow running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. (PRN/as‑needed scheduling; hours may vary based on department needs.)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Caregivers (required).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and guidelines specific to various imaging modalities.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced setting; manages multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail; follows instructions with accuracy.
  • Effective team contributor; maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and problem‑solve.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for safe, effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
  • Prepares patients for exams and remains attentive and sensitive to their needs throughout care.
  • Assists patients on/off procedure tables and to/from procedure rooms.
  • Assists and/or oversees coordination of patient care and communicates pertinent information to care teams post‑procedure.
  • Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repair is necessary.
  • Transports patients to/from Imaging, ensuring comfort and safety.
