This is a PRN position. Day shifts Monday through Friday, generally between 7am-5pm. No weekends, no holidays or overnights.

Requirements

• Associate's in Radiologic Technology from an accredited radiologic technology program
• Must hold both the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification/registration and Texas Medical Branch Radiologic Technologist state license
• Must be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Two years pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience preferred

Responsibilities

• The Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.
• Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
• Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
• Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
• Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
• Maintains on-going plan for personal growth and self-development.
• Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events.
