About The Position

The X-ray technician accurately demonstrates anatomical structures on a radiograph by applying knowledge of anatomy, positioning and radiographic technique.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program required; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable to changing work schedules and patient needs.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates limited medical X-ray equipment, having basic knowledge in clinical applications of radiologic techniques.
• Performs basic diagnostic radiographs.
• Performs basic CT procedures including contrast studies.
• Provides administrative assistance for procedures which are pertinent to the radiology service.
• Transports patients to and from assigned area.
• Provides radiation protection to self and public.
• Working knowledge of PACS system.
• Adheres to the dress code, attendance and all other company policies and procedures.
