Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
  • BLS required; ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Previous experience in Radiology Procedural Nursing or Emergency Department Nursing preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and prepare patients for procedures, infusions, or stress testing
  • Administer medications, as ordered
  • Monitor patients during and after procedures, stress testing, or infusions, recognizing and responding to complications
  • Start and manage IV lines and maintain vascular access
  • Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, providers, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Work one emergency shift per week
