Job Summary The Radiology Manager is responsible for the daily operations and oversight of imaging services, including staffing, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and resource management. This role ensures efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services, supports staff development, and collaborates with physicians and hospital leadership to enhance patient care and departmental performance.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • State licensure as applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in diagnostic radiology (including fluoro and c-arm)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of radiology procedures, equipment, and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations of radiology services, including staffing, workflow, and equipment use
  • Ensures compliance with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards
  • Assists with budget development, monitors expenses, and supports cost-effective operations
  • Supervises technologists and support staff including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline
  • Maintains departmental policies, quality assurance protocols, and radiation safety programs
  • Coordinates with radiologists, physicians, and other departments to support patient care delivery
  • Monitors and improves imaging service performance, patient satisfaction, and regulatory readiness
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into clinical protocols and operations
  • Supports and contributes to hospital-wide quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Performs diagnostic radiographs and assists with procedures when needed
