About The Position

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a progressive healthcare organization in Olympia, WA, to recruit seasoned Interventional Radiology professionals to support a rapidly expanding Interventional Radiology (IR) program. This expansion includes the introduction of advanced neuro-interventional services , with a strong focus on stroke response and thrombectomy procedures . This is a combined posting . Candidates will be considered for either the Radiology Interventional Technologist or Senior Radiology Interventional Technologist role based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated leadership capability. These roles offer the chance to work at the forefront of an evolving Interventional Radiology program, collaborating closely with Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, and Diagnostic Imaging nursing teams . The Senior-level role carries expanded responsibility for leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight, making it ideal for technologists ready to influence practice standards and departmental growth. Radiology Interventional Technologist In this role, you will provide direct support for a wide range of interventional procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and procedural efficiency. You will be expected to contribute actively to departmental growth and continuous improvement efforts. Senior Radiology Interventional Technologist The Senior role builds upon all core technologist responsibilities and adds a leadership and operational dimension. This position plays a key role in supporting complex IR and neuro-interventional procedures while helping guide team performance and departmental readiness.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet all required qualifications to be considered for interview:
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • ARRT Registered Technologist – Radiography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who meet the following criteria will receive priority consideration .
  • Prior experience in Interventional Radiology or Vascular/Neuro-Interventional settings
  • Exposure to or direct involvement with stroke response, thrombectomy, or neuro-interventional procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to function confidently in high-acuity procedural environments
  • For Senior-level consideration:
  • Previous leadership, precepting, or mentoring experience
  • Involvement in departmental operations, compliance, or quality initiatives
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care during Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Assist physicians across multiple specialties to support successful procedural outcomes
  • Prepare and operate imaging equipment and procedural tools in accordance with established protocols
  • Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety standards
  • Participate in departmental quality initiatives and process improvement efforts
  • Contribute ideas that enhance workflow, safety, and patient experience
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee high-quality patient care within the IR department
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for IR technologists, supporting onboarding and ongoing development
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff on advanced and high-acuity procedures, including neuro-interventional cases
  • Support departmental operations and compliance, including: Patient scheduling and procedural workflow optimization, IR inventory and supply oversight, Environment of care standards, Regulatory compliance (Department of Health, Joint Commission), Radiation safety practices, dosimetry oversight, and policy development
  • Assist leadership with process improvement, readiness initiatives, and service line expansion
