DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering a comprehensive heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace’s joint replacement program features a revolutionary minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgery that attracts patients from all over the country. Sinai-Grace operates more than 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Wayne and Oakland Counties and is one of 10 hospitals in the nation to be awarded a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to help set the standards of cardiac care for hospitals and physicians throughout the nation. Job Summary Under the general supervision of the administrative director for the department of radiology and in conjunction with the Chief for the specialty service, assumes responsibility for the day-to-day administrative functions of an assigned division within imaging. Coordinates the business operations of the division and supervises the work of assigned support personnel. Assists with annual budget development and monitors the division's financial data to ensure budget compliance; identifies and reports variances. Assembles statistical data and prepares written summaries and memoranda. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies and procedures. Acts as liaison between the assigned specialty area, affiliated physician corporations (PC's) and other DMC hospitals and institutions. May prepare, administer and archive personnel actions, employment agreements, consultant contracts and payments or other confidential documents. Provides support and direction for assigned clerical staff as assigned. Provides management of office operations for OP area as assigned. Provides diversified administrative secretarial support, exercising independent judgment to maximize office efficiency and accuracy of schedules, meetings, calendars, and communications. Researches, gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information to assist the supervisor in informational and statistical reporting. Understands issues in executive's area of responsibility and assists in composing correspondence. Screens telephone calls and visitors, resolves routine to moderately complex issues and may initiate/compose correspondence, as necessary. Prepares meeting minutes. Supports interaction with Board members, community leaders, DMC management, physicians and staff to dispense information regarding departmental policies, procedures, practices and general information.
