About The Position

The Radiologist III takes a leadership role in the department, overseeing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role participates in and leads departmental projects while teaching and mentoring junior staff. The Radiologist III plans and executes advanced radiotherapy treatments and contributes to research initiatives aimed at improving patient care and innovative treatment solutions. Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
  • Extensive experience as a licensed radiologist.
  • Doctoral degree (M.D.) and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years’ of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and interprets complex diagnostic and therapeutic radiological procedures with a high degree of autonomy and expertise.
  • Designs and implements bespoke treatment plans for complex or high-risk cases, incorporating the latest radiotherapy innovations.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop and refine patient treatment plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Oversees the administration of radiopaque substances and manages complex interventions independently.
  • Plans and executes advanced radiotherapy treatments, ensuring precision and efficacy.
  • Participates in and leads departmental research projects, contributing to the advancement of radiological practices.
  • Reviews and approves radiological reports and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical standards.
  • Develops and refines imaging protocols and ensures departmental adherence to best practices.
  • Mentors and oversees the training of junior radiologists, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
