About The Position

The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of both the theory and practice of Radiologic Technology, as well as experience with program goals, supervision, instructional support, and student evaluation. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to maintain current knowledge in both the professional discipline and educational methodologies, and communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. The department offers an Associate in Science (AS) degree in Radiologic Technology. The Radiologic Technology program is fully accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credentialing program.

Requirements

  • Associate in Science (AS) in Radiologic Technology
  • Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in Radiologic Technology plus one (1) year of teaching experience or one (1) year of experience in the training of Radiologic Technologists in a hospital setting.
  • Must be able to teach all areas of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must have a current MA RT License and hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certification (ARRT)
  • Willingness to travel to a variety of clinical sites on a rotating basis.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Providing supportive clinical instruction, demonstration, reinforcement, supervision, and evaluation of skills and procedures in the lab and clinical sites.
  • Performing clinical competency evaluations, tabulates and maintains competency records, records of examinations performed by students, and other required paperwork.
  • Ensuring radiation safety procedures, College, program, and clinical site policies and procedures are followed.
  • Serves as a liaison for the program at all clinical sites.
  • Supporting the program director to ensure smooth and effective program operations.
  • Contributing to accreditation and assessment processes.
  • Staying updated on professional disciplines and educational methodologies through ongoing professional development.
  • Keeping abreast of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
