About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations with minimal supervision in an acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform diagnostic radiographic exams by properly positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical factors Operate radiographic equipment for routine, portable, ER, OR, and trauma imaging Perform portable x-rays in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency department Assist physicians with radiopaque contrast media procedures Ensure radiation safety and proper beam restriction techniques Accurately identify and document patient films and requisitions Maintain cleanliness of x-ray rooms and readiness of equipment Assist patients with mobility and positioning needs Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, record maintenance, and patient reception Provide patient-centered care based on age, culture, language, and physical or sensory needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care facility
  • Must be able to work independently in ER, trauma, OR, portable exams, and pediatrics
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Completion of clinical and ARRT requirements
  • Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License
  • Eligibility for ARRT certification and ability to pass registry exam
  • ER and trauma experience required
  • OR and portable x-ray experience required
  • Pediatric experience required

Responsibilities
