Performs outpatient and/or inpatient Radiographic procedures using mobile and stationary equipment within the pertinent clinical setting of General Diagnostics, Fluoroscopy, Mobile Radiography, Emergency Radiography, and Mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures in the Operating Room.

Requirements

  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or ARRT.
  • Must maintain current Wisconsin state license as a Registered Radiographer
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
  • Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree in radiology or associated field of study.
  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with patients, patient care givers, physicians, and other department personnel and coworkers to ensure quality patient care and present positive department and interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Possesses a high degree of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing demand.
  • Analytical skills to make independent decisions when dealing with complex equipment, sedation of patients, and critical care patients.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment as acquired through completion of an approved curriculum of Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic computer skills to operate a computer efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to respond to clinical and administrative emergencies.
  • An understanding of Children’s Wisconsin health care delivery system and the impact of other health care delivery systems on the patient and family.

Responsibilities
