About The Position
The estimated base pay for this position is $36.08 to $54.07. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. Differential detail: Evening Shift Differential: $0.90/hour Night Shift Differential: $2.00/hour Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Job Summary: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. This position is represented by SEIU.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent: Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required
Responsibilities
- Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
- Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
- Prepares equipment for use as needed.
- Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
- Positions patients for imaging exams.
- Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
- Produces diagnostic images.
- Documents exam information.
- Reports important information to the physician.
- Verifies exams on PACS.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
